Joshua Cheng
Podiatrist in Carlisle & East Fremantle
Josh Cheng has returned to us from England after spending the last four years working as a senior podiatrist for an elite medical sporting clinic in Manchester where he treated Sports Stars from Manchester City, was part of the team that provided the medical services for Wigan Warrior Rugby League (premiers in 09/10 and winners of Challenge Cup in 2011) as well as looking after many Olympians leading up to the games. Josh’s special interest is biomechanical analysis and correction using orthotic therapy, joint mobilisation, trigger point therapy and strengthening the muscles of the feet to achieve rapid relief and lasting results from foot and ankle pain.
Josh’s expertise is getting the best biomechanical foot function to improve sports performance as well as help to fix biomechanical issues high up the legs, including knee pain and hip pain that has not resolved with regular treatment.
Veronica Lee
Podiatrist in Carlisle and Carousel Podiatry
Veronica completed a Bachelor of Podiatry at Queensland University of Technology in 2019, after completing Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Bachelor of Health Studies.
Veronica is passionate about holistic health care and how good foot care can influence her patient’s overall health. She is a strong believer in holistic care and loves to get to know her patients. She believes that listening and understanding of other aspects of a patient’s life can contribute to an effective delivery of podiatry care. She enjoys working in all aspects of Podiatry, with particular interest in diabetic foot care and sports biomechanics.
Before graduating, Veronica also worked at a private Podiatry clinic in the high-end and expats-oriented area in Malaysia, for a total of 8 months which she misses so much. She hopes that one day, she will return to her country and hometown to introduce Podiatry and to raise more awareness of what Podiatry can offer. Her goal is everyone can afford Podiatry services especially patients with diabetic foot ulcers.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking new recipes, a foodie who loves exploring new foods with her loved ones, shopping, participating and volunteering in church activities.
On the other hand, she can also communicate in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Bahasa Malaysia.
Zahra
Podiatrist in Carlisle Podiatry
Zahra is an Adelaide Podiatrist who graduated from University of South Australia in 2020. Zahra moved to Perth early 2023 to pursue her dream and study Doctor of Podiatric Surgery at UWA.
Zahra has experience working in private and community clinics. She has experience in all aspects of podiatry Nail Surgery, Orthotic therapy, Footwear recommendation, Shockwave therapy, Laser treatment, Skin and Nail diagnosis and treatment, Diabetic assessment and education.
Zahra enjoys working with people of all ages who suffer from foot pain, heel pain and lower limb complaints. She believes in early intervention and evidence-based treatment. Zahra is currently a member of the Australian Podiatry Association and registered with AHPRA.
In her quiet time, Zahra enjoys spending time with her family, walking along the Swan River, and exploring the new places in WA.
Adrian Dawson
Podiatrist in CarlislePodiatry
Adrian graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2011 completing a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine. Together with Podiatry, Adrian has also completed a Certificate IV in custom footwear design with RMIT in Melbourne.
Adrian is passionate about helping people return to movement. He is particularly skilled at identifying and addressing problematic areas to speed up your recovery and leave you with lasting results. He has a variety of treatment tools at his disposal including Shockwave Therapy, Dry needling, myofascial release treatments, self-management techniques, SWIFT therapy (for warts), orthotic therapy, nail surgery and general Podiatric care.
With 10 years of private practise experience, Adrian possesses attention to detail and extensive clinical knowledge of feet and their stressors. He continues to upgrade his knowledge recently attending barefoot rehabilitation and taping techniques for injury management.
He lived in Melbourne for three years juggling private practice and completing his footwear design course. He was also fortunate enough to help a long-time friend set up his own football boot business called Ida sports; tailored specifically for women’s feet.
Basketball, long-distance running, strength-based fitness training and obstacle course racing are all some of his favourite pastimes. Adrian enjoys yoga, cooking, travel, reading as well as spending time with his small family. He has also been fortunate enough to have travelled to the Americas, Europe, Japan and Thailand and loves a good food tour.
Adrian consults in Wembley, Carlisle and Mt Hawthorn. He thrives on the break through moments when it comes to reaching our treatment goals. Having a solid plan is the foundation of our journey toward painless feet. This ensures we keep on track and enjoy the journey along the way.

Shane Toohey
Podiatrist at Carlisle
Shane has been a practising podiatrist for 35 years and a certified acupuncturist for 25 years, during which time he has been combining his podiatric and acupuncture skills. Shane also lectured part-time in undergraduate podiatry courses in orthotic therapy.
More recently he has also presented lectures and workshops in acupuncture for podiatry students at UWA, Galway University and Huddersfdield University. For several years, he was team podiatrist for the Australian A League Football team, the Perth Glory. For the past 5 years Shane has been the sports therapist for an elite under-age AFL football team and WA State Minor Gaelic Football sole therapist for last two Australasian Carnivals. Association with sporting teams always involves providing hands on treatment at training sessions and games.
It has been my mission to unravel the most effective acupuncture treatments for conditions commonly being presented to Podiatrists and pass this on to my profession. These were never self evident from the training I received. They have the capacity to make a profound difference to clinical outcomes
Nellie Olaghere
Receptionist at Carlisle Podiatry
Nellie is currently the only receptionist working at Carlisle Podiatry and tries her best to create a good first impression of the clinic. She is diligent and kind, with the highlight of her day being the meaningful conversations she shares with patients.
In her free time, Nellie enjoys designing and making clothes through crochet and knitting or on her sewing machine. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Curtin University and hopes that her role as receptionist here will improve her ability to provide patient centred care.
